"Aún es de día", de Miguel Delibes: La instalación metafísica como mecanismo de Denuncia social en la ficción

It tourns the novel into a social denunciation of Spanish postwar society. Some interpretations for Aún es de día in the Delibes’ narrative consider this novel only as a tentative. However, this study sets it out a new place as a transition novel for its themes. Although its formal faults, Delibes outlines the majority of his literary preoccupations, next to Julián Marías’ metaphisycal anthropology (from Ortega y Gasset’s vital reason), not to French Christian existentialism.Con el esquema conceptual de la instalación metafísica de Marías, se plantea una nueva lectura del relato de la vida del personaje Sebastián Ferrón como lucha desigual con su circunstancia (en los distintos ámbitos que lo afectan, que se superponen concéntricos), que convierte la novela en una denuncia social implacable de la sociedad española de posguerra. Por lo que, frente a otras ubicaciones para Aún es de día en la narrativa de Delibes, en las que no va más allá de mera tentativa, este trabajo plantea para su segundo libro un nuevo espacio como novela de transición. Por su temática. Porque a pesar de sus limitaciones formales, Delibes esboza por primera vez el grueso de las inquietudes que forjan su literatura, que encajaría, mejor que en el existencialismo cristiano francés con el que la han vinculado, en el ámbito de la antropología metafísica de Julián Marías, que arranca de la razón vital de Ortega y Gasset

En su reflexión previa en torno a las limitaciones del concepto (analítico) en la comprensión de la realidad, la hermenéutica analógica -en su voluntad de mantenerse equidistante de la univocidad y de la equivocidad en la interpretación- parece sugerir un parentesco con la metafísica de la expresión con la que Nicol perfila el historicismo. Eduardo Nicol no ahonda en las posibilidades epistémicas de la analogía, pero estira la desconfianza de Ortega ante la razón idealista hasta desenmascarar el concepto como mero producto histórico, como la pretensión racionalista (desde Parménides) de esconder su inevitable origen analógico.The Analogical Hermeneutics wants to stay equidistant from the uniqueness and ambiguity in interpretation. The study of emoji linguistic behaviour: an examination of the theses raised (and not raised) in the academic literature

This bibliographic review of academic research on emoji reveals how the bulk of studies accepts it as a language but do not develop detailed linguistic analysis that could support this claim: they accept the clues provided by the initial studies, as if the scientific community had already reached such a consensus. However, the truth is that the fields in which emoji have generated the greatest academic interest (computer science, psychology and cognitive science) have considered the study of their linguistic nature a minor issue. Therefore, research on emoji has been growing over the years, widening the scope of its contributions, but with a common core made up of few basic notions about its linguistic condition that has important blind spots, in which Linguistics hasn’t done (generally) its work to place it in this new context for communication that the digital environments represent, despite the supports provided by multimodality and visual language theory. From these two disciplines, some authors have boldly suggested the emoji’s status as a gesture. However, to analyse its linguistic nature and behaviour, it is more accurate to understand the emoji, not as a gesture, but as a simplified representation of a gesture, without the unique features that a personal gesture has. The emoji seems to be the tool that, with fewer resources, best ensures that the interlocutor can understand the intentionality with which the sender has written the message

El telos aludido en la filosofía del arte de Ortega

Eduardo Nicol studies the Ortega’s historical reason: the historicism with which he reorients his vitalism.
